My name is Tanya Stoyanova, and I am a web developer. In my opinion, the most important aspect of a web site is its usability. Therefore, when designing web sites I strive to make them simple to use, and easy to navigate, while still trying to make them visually apealing. I work hard to create design that is elegant, timeless and compelling. Yet, I never allow my desire for great art to overwhelm the need for good functionallity. A web design must support your message, not overwhelm it, therefore, it must be done with restraint. Visual toys such as animation and sound must be used only when the content or product warrants it, not simply as useless decoration.

Work History
At the moment I am working as a biology technician at NOAA. Don't be fooled by the title, I am actually working on redesigning and developing a drifter web site. I am mostly playing with Google Maps API to present drifter data in more user-friendly map format, and automating the processes of gathering and displaying drifter data.
